Trauma & Dissociation: Fundamentals of Assessment & Treatment

Objectives:  Participants will learn

  • Historical and cultural aspects related to treatment of trauma related disorders
  • How to utilize specific screening tools for trauma-related disorders
  • Awareness of special considerations in therapy with trauma survivors
  • Beginning strategies for treatment of complex dissociative disorders

Participants must attend all 4 sessions: March 7, March 28, April 18 & May 2, 2014

Fee for all 4 sessions: $180

Registration opens at 8:30

Space is limited to 35 participants

Syntero is approved as a Continuing Professional Education provider of programs and adheres to the requirements of the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.  A total of 12 clock hours CEUs for Counselor/Social Workers will be provided. Attendees will come to all four sessions.

Student Intern Wins Scholarship Award

Syntero – Dublin Counseling Center is pleased to announce that student intern Carla Eiterman was recently presented with the esteemed William B. George Scholarship Award by the Provider Leadership Association. Eiterman received this award at a recent Annual Meeting of the Franklin County ADAMH Board.  Carla is working on her graduate degree in Professional Counseling.  Syntero is proud of the reputation of our fine student interns and the mentorship received from our professional clinical staff.  Congratulations Carla!

Trauma and Dissociation: Fundamentals of Assessment and Treatment Training Offered

Syntero – Dublin Counseling Center will present a four part training series on four consecutive Fridays beginning September 27, 2013. Helen Hill, LISW-S and Cheri Kerr, PCC-S are the presenters.  The training will be held at Dublin Methodist Hospital Conference Room 2, 7500 Hospital Drive, Dublin, OH.  Total cost is $180.00 and registration is required.  CEUs will be provided.  Please see the attached flier for more information.
