All Syntero group programs are facilitated by licensed professionals and require pre-registration. There may be a cost associated with some groups.

Alcohol and Drug Education Group

This group is designed to educate group members about Substance Use Disorder (SUD), including alcohol and other drugs (SUD) and increase the awareness of the role alcohol and/or other substances have impacted them.

Anger Management Group

This group is appropriate for court ordered or self-referred clients with anger issues. Participants receive education and develop personal insight into anger, anger styles, and personal anger triggers.

Meets: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00pm

At A Loss Group

This group is for parents who have been pre-deceased by a child. Group members have the opportunity to discuss grief and support each other.

Meets: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:00 – 7:30om

Chronic Pain Group

This group is geared to help you understand the origins and effects of pain, develop coping skills, share experiences and challenges, decrease pain, anxiety and depression, and modify life to reach desired goals.

Meets: Thursdays
Place: Mill Run location (Hilliard)

Note: Most insurance companies cover the cost of this group. Sliding fee scale is available. Interested clients should contact their individual therapist to make a referral. Or you may contact our Intake Department at 614.889.5722.

Depression Group

This is a confidential, self-help group for those suffering from depression. Members receive valuable support, understanding and education in an accepting and supportive environment.

Meets: 2nd Monday of the month, 5:30-7:00pm

Exploring Recovery Group

This group is designed for adults 18 and older who are struggling with addiction. Individuals will explore self-awareness, self-acceptance, problems their use has created and explore the positive impact of sobriety. This group is open to self-referred clients or court clients.

Intensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Group

This group is designed to assist clients in effectively managing intense emotional and behavioral responses to stressful situations using emotion regulation, distress tolerance, core mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

LGBT – Q & A

This group provides support for those who support LGBTQ youth. Parents, teachers, providers and any adult who lives or works with LGBTQ youth are welcome. Topic covered include communication, terminology, relationships, safety and ways to care for yourself as you are caring for others. No registration is required for this group.

Military Survivor Support Group

This group will provide an opportunity for military families and friends to share their loss and grief journey, and establish a network of peer support.

Meets: 3rd Wednesday, 6:30-8:00pm

Parenting with Powerful Purpose

This group is for parents who are raising children with special needs. Topics include implementing self-care strategies, assertive expression and boundary setting, relaxation techniques and coping skills.

Recovery Matters – Adult IOP

This group is designed for adults 18 and up who are struggling with addiction. There are 12-16 group therapy sessions along with biweekly or weekly individual therapy sessions. Weekly, random drug screens and AA or NA meeting attendance once per week to promote long term sobriety.

Meets: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm

Relapse Prevention for Adults

This group assists adults with substance use problems in addition to mental health problems. Goals are to promote wellness, implement self-help concepts, build stability and recovery skills, and strive to reach their full potential.

This psycho-educational group is for women dealing with loss, transition, depression, anxiety and relationship struggles.

Yoga For Recovery

Ashtanga yoga is a therapeutic system designed to purify the body, promote proper functioning of digestive system, build strength and restore range of motion to the body. Combined with an existing recovery program the practice becomes a powerful tool for self-transformation. This FREE group is open to all individuals in recovery. You do not have to be a Syntero client to attend.
