A Strategic Focus
The City of Dublin is working to launch a comprehensive Aging In Place Plan for our residents involving many aspects, including mobility and transportation, housing, health and wellness. Reviewed by the Community Services Advisory Commission and accepted by Dublin City Council, the City’s Aging In Place plan is a strategic priority as we plan for our city’s future.
Partnering with the Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions, the City of Dublin has gathered nearly 30 agencies and service providers, including Syntero, to envision a future where Dublin is a healthy and vibrant place for all ages to thrive. The spring and summer, we will host Community Conversations with our older adult residents and caregivers to learn more about each group’s needs.
Our Focus Areas
Based on the input from our service providers, we are working to create a comprehensive action plan involving the following topics:
- Supporting neighbor-to-neighbor connections
- Developing online resources
- Partnering with expert providers
- Remaining innovative in recreation, wellness, in-home/in-neighborhood and accessibility to services
Your Input Is Needed
As we move forward with planning, we want to learn more in the areas of health, wellness and social service delivery from our residents and caregivers.
Please download the attached flyer to learn more about the dates and locations, and to access RSVP information.
