Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Action

Syntero’s values of integrity, empowerment, innovation and inclusiveness are infused throughout all aspects of clinical, programmatic and business operations, resulting in a welcoming, respectful, person-centered, professional workplace. “Syntero has always strived to provide services that are inclusive and diverse in a trauma informed manner, but the Board-approved addition of ‘inclusiveness’ as a value in 2020 has enabled Syntero led to adapt to the changing needs of the community in a more intentional way,” said Syntero CEO Julie Erwin Rinaldi, M.Ed. Over the past year, Syntero has increased:

  • Evaluation of existing programs, services, policies and workflows through a DEI lens
  • Awareness and monitoring of the unmet needs of marginalized populations
  • Development of programs tailored for various cultures and groups
  • Education for staff and community members
