
In July, Syntero added “inclusiveness” to its existing values of integrity, empowerment and innovation. Syntero is pleased to announce the development of a new Diversity and Inclusion Program, which will focus on programming and operational improvements on behalf of groups or individuals who have experienced trauma due to racism, racial inequity, ageism, sexism, homophobia or xenophobia. Syntero’s new Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator Karida Cardoso, MS, LPC, will ensure that the agency’s programs and operations are culturally sensitive and informed regarding the unique needs and issues specific to marginalized populations whose behavioral health problems are worsened due to their marginalized status in society.
