All Syntero group programs are facilitated by licensed professionals and require pre-registration. There may be a cost associated with some groups.

Youth Summer Groups

Syntero is excited to offer FREE group prevention services this summer for students in Dublin, Upper Arlington, Hilliard, Tolles and Grandview School Districts in Franklin County and Delaware and Morrow County School Districts. Syntero Summer Prevention Programming is made possible by community funded levy dollars as distributed by the Franklin County ADAMH Board and the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board. Registration will open May 9th at noon for the districts that Syntero serves. For students enrolled outside the identified districts, parents/caregivers are welcome to register for a group(s) with openings beginning May 27th.

Adolescent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Group

Do you feel like your emotions just take over? Does it seem like you go from one extreme to the other? Is it hard to keep friendships and relationships. The Adolescent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group is designed to help adolescents better cope with the demands of young life and feel more in control. There are currently two separate Adolescent DBT groups:

Group One Meeting Day and Time: Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM

Group Two Meeting Day and Time: Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM

Adolescent Relapse Prevention Group

This group is for teenagers 12 to 18 years old struggling with substance use and considering recovery. Self referred clients or court ordered clients are welcome.

Meets: Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 PM
Place: Group currently meets virtually via Zoom.

Celebrate You!!!

This is a group for youth 13 to 18 years old (7th to 12th grades) to explore and celebrate LGBTQ identity in its entirety, build self-esteem, emotional knowledge and recognize personal strengths while building solid connections with peers.  This is a pro-social inclusive space for all and everyone is welcome.  No intake or referral needed.

Meets: 1st and 3rd Mondays, 6:30-8:00 PM
Place: Group currently meets virtually via Zoom.

Celebrate Youth!

Celebrate Youth is a support group for gender expansive and exploring youth ages 11 and younger. This is a pro-social inclusive space for all and everyone is welcome.  No intake or referral needed.

Meets: 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 5:30-7:00 PM
Place: Group currently meets virtually via Zoom.

CollegeConnect

CollegeConnect is a free, four-part workshop series intended for college students entering their sophomore, junior and senior years. Students will learn how to manage school stressors, receive support from peers, and will gain coping and regulation skills. Syntero’s CollegeCountdown course teaches college-bound students and college freshmen how to effectively overcome obstacles, adapt to new environments and form productive relationships, and helps them develop the soft skills needed for success in college and beyond. Diversion Education Program

This is a five-hour program for youth on diversion who are referred by a professional or a parent. This program provides education for youth with violations specifically related to alcohol and other substances.

Meets: One Saturday per month

Melanin Matters – Coming Soon

Many teens are feeling the overwhelming burden of society now more than ever, with the added effects of the pandemic. Melanin Matters provides a place for teens to process, gain support, and to feel as though they are not alone in an inclusive space. BIPOC teens will be able to communicate, address issues that may be impacting their mental health, such as racism, exposure to traumatic events in the community, the media, social justice, inequity and racial identity and ways to build self-esteem and resilience. Recovery Matters – Adolescent IOP

This group is designed for adolescents ages 12 – 18 struggling with addiction. There are 12-16 group therapy sessions along with biweekly or weekly individual therapy sessions. Weekly, random drug screens and AA or NA meeting attendance once per week to promote long term sobriety.

Meets: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM
