Syntero 2021 Community Impact

 

2021

In 2021, Syntero served nearly 9,000 youth, families, adults and older adults in Franklin, Delaware and Morrow Counties, as well as 58 counties through virtual services. Check out a few highlights of our community impact in 2021:

Older Adults

  • 778 clients and caregivers served
  • New groups developed for 50+ older adults and people with chronic pain and illness
  • Launched Teen Buddy Match program

Diversity & Inclusion

  • New Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator began developing internal and external programming to promote inclusion and cultural humility
  • Provided agency trainings such as “Culturally Competent/Responsive Diagnostic Assessments” and “Beyond Implicit Bias, Racism as Trauma”

Suicide Prevention, Intervention & Postvention

  • Provided breakout sessions at the first Dublin Suicide Prevention Townhall in partnership with Dublin Police and the City of Dublin
  • Continued partnership with Dublin Police in support of suicide prevention efforts in the law enforcement community

Substance Use Disorder

  • Harm reduction kits assembled, serving 4,000 individuals
  • Developed new Teen and Adult Recovery Support groups, and curriculum for Teen SUD Education group

School-Based

  • Served 2021 unduplicated students through 18,023 services across 12 school districts between July and December 2021
