Reducing access to lethal means, such as firearms and medication, can determine whether a person at risk for suicide lives or dies. This training is about how to reduce access to the methods people use to take their lives. It will cover who needs lethal means counseling and how to work with people at risk for suicide- and families- to reduce access. Syntero’s CALM-Counseling on Access to Lethal Means training will be presented by LOSS Community Service Executive Director Angela Damon.
This training is approved for 1.5 CEUs through the CSWMFT Board for counselors and social workers.
Participation is FREE for current Syntero employees and student intern and just $30 for community members!
