50+ Connections

Socially “connect” and learn from professionals who provide practical and resourceful information so we can “thrive” and not merely “survive” daily life. This is a relaxed and enjoyable forum, which encourages participation among attendees. This group meets from 1:00 – 2:15 PM and is facilitated by Syntero Older Adults Community Support Specialist Charity Eilerman. Any older adult in Columbus is welcome to attend.

Melanin Moms

This free groups provides a place for moms to process, gain support, and to feel as though they are not alone in an inclusive space.

Group Purpose: Mothers, especially mothers of color, are feeling the overwhelming burden of society now more than ever, with the effects of the pandemic, racial injustice, politics, work, educating children, and managing households can be exhausting. Yet mothers often do not take the time to take care of their own emotional needs. Within this space, BIPOC mothers will be able to connect, support one another, and gain new perspectives on common issues impacting their daily lives. This group currently meets virtually.

To register, contact Syntero Diversity & Inclusion Program Coordinator Karida Cardoso, MS, LPCC at kcardoso@syntero.org.
