In the virtual Assessing and Treating Race-Based Trauma training, participants will:
- Gain knowledge relevant to the treatment of historical, and race-based trauma, as well as best practices for assessing, engaging, and help clients process race-based traumatic experiences
- Leave with a better understanding of concepts related to diversity
- Be able to ask culturally responsive assessment questions
- Better identify apply interventions in regards to traumatic experiences for historically marginalized populations
This training is approved for one CEU through the CSWMFT Board for counselors and social workers and will be facilitated by Syntero Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator Courtney Dobson, LISW-S, and Outpatient Clinician Kashif Khan, LSW.
Cost: $30 for community members; free for Syntero staff and interns
