Forever Dublin: Preventing Senior Scams

Join us for a very informative workshop presented by the Ohio Attorney General’s office where you will learn about some of the latest and most common scams targeting older Ohioans.

The Ohio Attorney General’s office wants to prevent costly scams perpetrated against older citizens. Scammers use a variety of tactics to make their offers seem legitimate. Their initial contact usually occurs by telephone, letters, door-to-door solicitations, fliers, e-mails and phony websites. They often try to convince consumers to send them money or give personal information, such as back account numbers and Social Security numbers. A Dublin city policy officer will be on hand to share how victims of a scam can file a police report.

Boxed lunch will be provided by Forever Dublin, and it’s all free!

Space is limited, so please reserve your spot by Thursday, May 19th. Register online at, call 614.889.5722 x810 or email to register.

Forever Dublin is a partnership between the City of Dublin and Syntero aimed at providing resources for residents to make Dublin their forever home.
