About the event
The City of Upper Arlington Mayor's Court – which runs a Recovery Court designed to help individuals struggling with addiction – is excited to host a free showing of What It Takes, a documentary focused on addiction and recovery. This 80-minute film takes viewers inside the struggles of substance abuse disorder, while highlighting the recovery programs that are available to help people rebuild their lives.
A panel discussion will follow the screening—featuring filmmaker Jeff Shulman, as well as the City's Recovery Court Magistrate, Syntero's SUD Program Coordinator, Doug Neel, and some of the program participants and their family members.
Light refreshments will be served, and several community service organizations will be hosting resource tables, including Syntero, the UA Public Library, and UA CARES.
The screening is free and open to all.
While reservations are not required, an RSVP is appreciated.
