Substance Use Disorder Groups
All Syntero group programs are facilitated by licensed professionals and require pre-registration — some may require an intake assessment. There may be a cost associated with some groups.

Syntero offers the following Substance Use Disorder (SUD) groups for adults and adolescents facilitated by licensed counselors specializing in addiction treatment (for more information, click on the name of the group of interest):​

Adult Relapse Prevention
This group is designed for adults in recovery from substance abuse who struggle with maintaining their recovery from substance use and may also have mental health challenges. The goal is to improve self-care and strengthen recovery skills. Both internal and external Syntero clients may be referred. External clients require an intake assessment prior to beginning group. Days, times and locations available upon request.

​Alcohol and Drug Education/Exploring Recovery Group
This group is designed to educate adult group members who are struggling with addiction about Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) including alcohol and other drugs and to increase awareness of the negative impact of alcohol and/or other substances on their lives. Both internal and external Syntero clients may be referred. External clients require an intake assessment prior to beginning group. Days, times and locations available upon request.
​​​​Adolescent Relapse Prevention Group
This group is for teenagers 12 to 18 years old struggling with mental health or substance use issues who are considering recovery. Self-referred clients or court-ordered clients are welcome. Days, times and locations available upon request.

SUD Extended Care & Recovery Group
Whether you’re looking for group support for the very first time, stepping down from intensive care, or trying to strengthen your safety net, Syntero is here to help. These 12-week rolling cohort groups help participants understand the roots of addiction, release shame by working through real-life challenges with peers who truly get you in a safe, welcoming space. Throughout the 12 weeks, you will learn just what Substance Use Disorder and Addiction really are, find support systems to navigate substance abuse and/or addiction, and gain freedom from substance dependency and addiction. Every journey is unique. Syntero meets you where you are on the road to recovery with support centered around your own walk. Groups can be tailored to meet the individual needs of the cohorts (e.g. trauma-informed care, language interpreter services).

Groups meet weekly for 12 weeks.
