Substance Use Disorder Groups

All Syntero group programs are facilitated by licensed professionals and require pre-registration — some may require an intake assessment. There may be a cost associated with some groups.

Syntero offers the following Substance Use Disorder (SUD) groups for adults and adolescents facilitated by licensed counselors specializing in addiction treatment (for more information, click on the name of the group of interest):​

Most private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, EAPs, sliding fee and self-pay are accepted.

Adult Relapse Prevention
Alcohol and Drug Education Group/Exploring Recovery Group
Adolescent Mental Health/Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Groups

Adult Relapse Prevention

This group is designed for adults in recovery from substance abuse who struggle with maintaining their recovery from substance use and may also have mental health challenges. The goal is to improve self-care and strengthen recovery skills. Both internal and external Syntero clients may be referred. External clients require an intake assessment prior to beginning group. Days, times and locations available upon request.

​Alcohol and Drug Education/Exploring Recovery Group

This group is designed to educate adult group members who are struggling with addiction about Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) including alcohol and other drugs and to increase awareness of the negative impact of alcohol and/or other substances on their lives. Both internal and external Syntero clients may be referred. External clients require an intake assessment prior to beginning group. Days, times and locations available upon request.

 

Adult Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Group

This group is designed for adults 18 and up who are struggling with addiction. There are 12-16 group therapy sessions of 3 hours along with bi-weekly or weekly individual therapy sessions. Weekly random drug screens and AA or NA meeting attendance is a required component of successful completion of this group. Both internal and external Syntero clients may be referred. External clients require an intake assessment prior to beginning group. Days, times and locations available upon request.

Adult Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Groups

​​​​​​Adolescent Mental Health/Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Groups

Syntero offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues. Syntero’s integrated IOP model addresses adolescent mental and substance use disorders as distinct or co-occurring diagnoses. Syntero’s Adolescent IOP is facilitated by licensed clinical counselors and social workers specializing in treating adolescents. Days, times and locations available upon request.

​​Adolescent Relapse Prevention Group

This group is for teenagers 12 to 18 years old struggling with mental health or substance use issues who are considering recovery. Self-referred clients or court-ordered clients are welcome. Days, times and locations available upon request.
